He is moving!

As I was leaving today, the nurse said they had a room out of the PICU available and would be moving as it was cleaned. This is a bit bitter sweet because it is another step closer to home, but the nurses have more patients to attend to out of the PICU. The fact that he is okay to go to a lower level of care already is a miracle.

He was able to keep his food down during the day. He smiled more today and opened his eyes wider. Aaron asked Tristan at one point, "What can I do to get a smile?" All Tristan wanted fro dad was a head bump. That sounds like he is getting better to me. He even sat up and lifted his legs on his own at one point.

A good day overall today, but please pray for a peaceful evening. Things seem to happen more at night. The rest is really good for Tristan (and mom and dad) so our hope that an uneventful evening is had by all.

Your comments have touched the family so much. Thank you all.

From the Dean family:

Tristan and family,

We have been thinking of you and praying for you each day/often. We are thrilled by all the blessings of God and Tristan's recovery. Because we have a son the same age we have been so deeply moved. Just thoughts of your experience are overwhelming to us, but your strength and Tristan's strength is such a witness to us and everyone else. I love the blog and following the new blessings that are happening each day/hour/minute. Praise God and we hope to see you down the street and going places in your BIG BLACK TRUCK soon!!!

We love you, Jim, Lea, Brandy, Jacob, Joshua, and Brian Dean
